ABOUT ABOUT

putrefacción is a movement piece exploring the intersection of the american™ lawn as the symbol of a culturally conceived domestic-ness and the dynamic nature of domestic partner violence within the judicial system.

we embody composting as a methodology to metabolize these forms of violence and ask, "how does moving with the land act as a healing intervention and restore hom[e]age with self?"

on a 19'x9' concrete slab we will engage this overlay with empathy, satire, and some rowdy hen-ing. we're clawing through the layers of policy, earth care, and personal responsibility in a ritual that explores how movement acts as intervention and sets a precedent for how we tend to our bodies when under the surveillance of the state.

this has been a deeply collaborative process on a shoestring budget. donations are greatly appreciated but not required, thank you!
